Lexden Springs currently offers our parents and carers two different parenting groups; the ‘Why do it differently?’ group is a 11-week course and provides parents and carers the opportunity to gain additional theoretical and practical information on the following topics:
- Neuroscience Theory, Sensory Processing, Communication and exploring resources, Behaviour Support, Family relationships and many other topics.
- We invite parents and carers to come along to the session when a space becomes available.
- For our Post 16 parents and carers the ‘Lexden Springs Next Steps’ group is a 6-week course and covers the following topics: Benefits, social care and advocacy, colleges and further education, employment and meaningful activities, health, and Internet and personal safety.
- We also offer support, or a signpost, to parents and carers that may require assistance with completing paper work such as DLA and charity funding. If you require support with this please contact the school office in the first instance, who will pass your message onto Lucy our Family Liaison Officer.
