Year 7 Catch up Funding 2017/18
There are 8 pupils eligible for the grant in 2017/8 giving the school £4,166.
This group of pupils has a high interest in books, reading and literacy, fostered by our approach to phonics. This year we have spent the money on additional phonics resources and books for the library, as books in the library are well used.
In addition the school has paid for theatre groups to perform for the school.
This group of pupils continues to enjoy reading.
Pupils gain from a live theatre experience.

As the ethos of the school is about developing social, communication and interaction skills the money has been spent on maintaining and replenishing equipment for pupils to use at break and lunchtimes. Equipment includes, bikes , scooters, large covered sand pits, crates and planks.
Playtimes are more enjoyable for pupils, negative behaviour is reduced. Play skills such as turn taking, waiting and imaginative play has increased.
